ATC's.... last of the batch

Here's the last of the ATC's. Color is not quite true due to the late afternoon light when photos were taken. All these are 3.5 x 2.5.

I think there's a book called something along the lines of "Paint Small, Learn Big" and there's a lot to be said for that.

These mini paintings are wonderful for trying out techniques and subjects you might not be ready to tackle in a larger work. All in all, lots of fun!

Like the dog rose painting, like the almost abstractness of it And the lily close up, you can feel the life of it. Very Georgia O'Keeffe.

These are beautiful artworks Teresa. I think I actually prefer these minature works of art to larger pieces. The Lily is particularly stunning. x

They are fantastic Teresa, perhaps my favourites to date of all your paintings. I'm really taken with them.

A feast to my eyes.. all of them have come out so beautiful T ! Miniatures are tougher for me, but as you point out, a good tool for practice.

I just love all of them, gorgeous. I could sit here all day looking at them. So glad you are having fun.
I have only ever done one miniature. I will remember your quote.
Hugs.

They're ALL beautiful but I'm envious as to how you painted the hollyhock. I never know whether to paint as they look, here at least, (sort of bedraggled with the leaves having that rusty fungus)or to paint them beautiful as you have done!
The lily is gorgeous and the Chinese Lantern (physalis)is perfectly rendered.

All of your ATCs are really nice, I especially like the four flowers. You're correct about painting small and learning big!

These are wonderful! I especially love the lantern flower and the lily. On all the cards, there is so much detail and texture , its hard to see they are only 3.5x2.5!

So pretty! Somehow the small size seems less intimidating, too. Not that one should feel intimidated by paint and paper...

Wow, these are just great--and such a variety. There's a lovely atmospheric quality to the landscapes. esp. the first two; and the florals are all lovely ... I am very fond of Chinese lanterns and yours is beautifully modeled with light.

I love these, Teresa! I have been having fun painting this small size lately also- my favorite of these is the street scene, but I love them all!

Hi Teresa, these ATC (ACEO) are so beautiful, so fresh. I love the color even you say they are dim due to the late night. The Tiger Lilli is my favorite out of this batch :)
Thank you,
Irina

It's so true, about ATC's being great for learning. One can experiment with new techniques, and just plain get a lot of brush mileage without having to expend a whole lot of time. I paint small ones for ebay in between painting large gallery works and it's amazing what the practise does, plus it's nice to earn a few bucks!

All very pretty paintings ...I have been inspired to paint small, which I normally don't, but you are right, it is a good exercise.
Have a nice weekend.
