Watercolor studies

Yay... it rained so I can stay out of the garden for a couple of days!

Posting some watercolor sketches. The first one is Pink Verbena (from my garden, of course!), the second one, if it had a title would be called "Past its Prime", and is what happens when you spend all your time in the garden and don't pay any attention to onions that are quietly growing like mad in their little basket, and the third one is practice on stonework.

Gorgeous detailed work Teresa. I especially like the study of the onion!

Like the sunlight on the door, you have caught it fresh and crisp and clear.

Would you just look at these studies?!! Wow!

Love the warms and cools in the verbena. The door is so well done with all that texture and bright light!

I have to say though, that the onion is just superb!! Love the flaky, round goodness you've captured.

Hmmmm, methinks I'm going to have to continue to find ways of tempting you to paint watercolors! ;•)

I really like these sketches. I can really sense the shape of the onion -- it looks so real. And stonework -- absolutely love stonework. Nice variety on this page.

Oh how beautiful!! I love the simplicity of the drawings and they have a lightness about them!
You have inspired me to travel forth and get some flowers to plant in my pots! I can't stand it anymore! You seeds are coming up! You must have put your green thumb on them before you posted them!
Take care
Vicki
