The winter storm arrived...

... and decorated everything!

It's windy outside - and really cold - but so beautiful. Since we don't get much of the winter stuff :-( I just had to get some photos. I love the almost abstract quality of close ups, and with the added allure of sparkling ice.... well, it was worth my poor fingers almost getting frostbitten! Earlier in the afternoon I made a Blueberry Cobbler. So after my fingers thawed out... yes, you guessed it... a generous serving of still warm cobbler. Yum!!!

That is a lot of ice! Hopefully it will warm up and melt before the trees suffer damage. Beautiful though. A blueberry cobbler - what a surprise!! :-)

Beautiful photos, I know that ice is dangerous but so lovely! We were just below the freezing line, got just a little sleet and snow, tonight there are frozen patches but that's all. Yum, the cobbler looks delicious, my son loves blueberry cobbler! Be safe!

The ice storm is beautiful, but dangerous. Did you loose power? The cobbler looks scrumptious. Great photos all around. I thought we were bad off here at 33 degrees tonight. Dry for a change, no ice.

Your blueberry cobbler looks just the right kind of food to help restore the warmth in your fingers after taking those wonderful photos! We had a lovely sunny day yesterday this morning we woke up and our world was white again! Stay warm and cosy through your winter storm:)

Teresa, glad you're warm and making soup and cobbler. Those ice storms are the worst. You slide down driveways, streets, and the ice can take down trees. A dangerous beauty. I've seen people going out to their trees to knock off some of the ice to relieve the weight pressing on the branches. But aaah, doesn't it look beautiful? Your photos capture it all.

Some beautiful photos, especially that last one since I'm not at all a fan of winter! lol

Hope you made it through without losing power. Like you, we were prepared but the electricity stayed on, praise God!

If the roads weren't so bad, I'd show up at your door to trade some vegetable soup for a sampling of your cobbler!

Enjoy your snow!

What a combination -- cold, cold, cold, colder, ...... ah .... some nice warm cobbler. By the time I got to the bottom of your post I could literally feel the warmth of the cobbler. I guess that is the power of suggestion....

Love the juxta-positioning of the icy branches and the cracks in the cobbler. One so cold, the other so warming!Perfect!
