"Reflections" 4x6, watercolor
This is a small painting I started before the impromptu vacation. I was attracted to the scene by the almost calligraphic reflections of the leaves in the water. I'm still experimenting with different ways to apply paint and working on building my "effects library". I'm out of my comfort zone when painting water... but painting it is the only way to become comfortable with it!

What fun! Love it!
Lovely job Teresa. The water looks great and lovely subtle reflections.
Glad you had a great vacation. Yes it's great to spend time with the family. Love the photos. Looks so inviting.
Sometimes the unexpected turns out the best.
Love your days harvest. Isn't it great to grow your own fruit and veggies. We grow as much as we can..even in pots while we rent.
We will grow a lot more when we move into the new house.
Great work Teresa.
But Teresa, you work doesnt look like you did it out of your comfort zone! The work looks very professional with the slightly abstracted reflections that you created in this water body. Nice one!
I think you have done a very good job with the water. I feel as though I could dip my toe in it!!!
Hey, look. I get to be first !
This is a smashing painting. The composition, the handling of paint... seriously grand piece of work. You must be pleased. The different quality you have given the rocks, and the reeds and the reflections.
Very much likeeee.
Wow T, look at you go (grow). Makes me envious but when I pull out a book and look thru the pages, I put the book back in the closet and go sit down.
I love this! You painted exactly what you saw, and the gentle, hesitance of your touch here helps to potray the delicacy of the scene! It's wonderful!
I really like this small piece, I love the rustic way you captured the water reflections!
I love your style!

Beautiful piece.
If that's you experimenting - carry on!
Très jolie peinture et merveilleux jeu de couleurs.
It sure doesn't seem like you're out of your comfort zone with water. This is terrific. It's very subtle. I like it very much!
You have managed to make your water look very watery, which is easier said than done! Well done.
Your painting of water looks fabulous here! I really like this painting - beautiful!
what a great simple little painting Teresa. Good work
Hi Teresa,
Looks as though you had a lovely vacation.
I can't imagine how to even begin painting water. I do like your watercolour 'Bluebells'. Fascinating seeing your garden and the tobacco plants.
Have a good weekend, not too hot I hope!
You know I like this one. It may be a small painting but it says a lot - mainly that you'll soon be very comfortable with water!
Beautiful composition. Love how you chose just a small part of the stream.
I'm back taking a second look at your water colors.....Yes I'm totally hooked. Back from Dick Blicks.......*giggle*

A lovely little watercolour, and such a small size.
Thank you for your comment, yes it is often hard finding time to draw all the things we would like to.
